I am having my very own pity party. I've had a couple tough weeks with kids being sick, lots of make up work, and doctors appointments. But today I finally had a day when I didn't have to go anywhere and I could stay home to clean my house and do lots of laundry. I got started on the upstairs bathrooms. I swept, stripped the wax, and started waxing the floors. While applying the second coat of wax in my bathroom, my vision started to go bad and I knew one of my wonderful migraine headaches was now on today's schedule.
I finished the floors, took my pain pills, and tried to take it easy until the kids settled down for their naps. I got in a nap myself, but when I woke up I found out that Shane was not coming home in time to watch the kids so I could go to Enrichment. I couldn't take the kids with me because Savannah has a fever and Jared has a head cold. I wanted to go so bad!!!!
Even worse is that the Stampin Up party I was going to attend tomorrow night with Sylvia was cancelled due to the expected bad weather!!!!! I lost both of my "fun" nights in one fail swoop!
My house is still a mess and I missed out on a killer salad bar...... Oh well, at least my 2 bathroom floors ROCK!!!!!

Ugh! I hate it when my fun plans go awry! Hang in there. I bet your bathrooms are gleaming.
I hope I'm not supposed to be stripping wax/waxing floors, because I've never done it. Just thought I'd make that confession.
For the record, I've never stripped/waxed floors before. But, after working for Connie Haruch, and seeing her gorgeous floors, I just had to have the same!!!
We really missed you last night. You are such a smart cookie! Who knew you graduated so high up in your class.
I hope your kids get feeling better soon.
For the record, Maura and I discussed that she should have written "fell swoop" but she was too lazy to fix it, in fact, you'll will notice that I'm inserting this for her, under her direction, while we are on the phone. I'm supposed to be working right now.
I'm so sorry you had a rotten day. I missed you last night too. We'll have to have a girls' night out sometime soon to make up for it. I've just got to come up with some kind of excuse for it . . .
How about a learn-how-to-wax-your-floor night? I'm offering to have it at my house. My floors could use a good waxing. I'll ask Erin if we can count it as an enrichment group.
Oh, and I'm totally intimidated by your smartness now, Miss Smarty Pants!
I'm totally against the waxing floor thing. I once tried it when I cleaned my mom's salon, and a kept finding little pieces of hair under the wax, it drove me CRAZY. So until I get rid of my stupid dog or put him outside no wax for me. BUT I am very impressed that you do it, very impress.
What Jamie said about an Enrichment activity, but we are older so we get first dibs.
